Bonsai
Originating way back the influential Han Dynasty of China, bonsai is the Japanese term which means “potted plantâ€. Yet, etymology suggests that the word bonsai is just the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese word “penzaiâ€. The term bonsai was formulated by the Westerns as an umbrella term for any miniature trees grown in a container or pot.

Typically, a bonsai is the aesthetic miniaturization of trees by growing them in containers instead of having them grown on lands. A bonsai plant is formed by a series of shaping, watering, re-potting and pruning. Basically, it is the main root that has to be slashed off in order to hamper the usual growth of the tree. At present, bonsai is one of the most used decorative ornaments both indoor and outdoor interior designing.
