Circus Arts
A circus is one of the most awaited entertainment events by children and adults alike. The original circus was actually a travelling troupe or company of performers that includes not only people such as acrobats, jugglers and clowns but even trained animals such as monkeys, lions and elephants that can perform stunts. The circus originated in Greece and adopted by the ancient Romans and improved the concept to include chariot races and gladiator fights. A modern circus is usually housed in a big tent where the performers both humans and animals can show off their circus skills. A circus typically features clowns, flying trapeze and high-wire walking. Some circus professionals have banded together to advance certain advocacies such as making circus a viable entertainment form, a legitimate job and a good cultural activity.
