Classics
A branch of Humanities that deals with art, history, languages and literature and aspects of the ancient Greece and Rome is known as Classical Studies or Classics. The ancient civilisations of Greece and Rome are thought to bring rich cultural histories that include art and language appreciation. The Classics are further broken down to various disciplines such as the forebears of the classical world, philology, archaeology, art history, civilisation and history and philosophy. Classicists have found fascination over the study of classical Greece and Rome. In fact, many classicists have become famous for their appreciation and dedication. These include Karl Marx, John Milton, Toni Morrison and Oscar Wilde, to name a few.
