Collectives

In the context of art, the term ‘collective’ may refer to the practise that is usually used for blurring and disguising of an identity. This is viewed somehow as a protest or a mild revolt to the notion of ‘branded’ art object being a commodity. Through the collectives of the artists, their primary concerns are brought into the open along with possible solutions in a wide range that can address these problems at hand. Collectives show shared aims among artists and those that are simply passionate about art. The concerns may actually include ordinary living, household tools, work space, money and finances. Collective is being made possible through the initiatives of the artists.
