Dance

Dance is the most popular and easy performance art to do. It is the rhythmic actions or movements of the body in consonance with music. It is a subtle form of communication in most societies and can convey moral, social and artistic norms and limits. Many dance forms have religious or sexual significance in most societies and is generally non-verbal in nature. Some newer dance forms are found in synchronised swimming, figure ice skating and also in gymnastics and sports such as karate. Dance is also used for evil purposes such as the dance forms in some countries that cause an ecstatic trance state in voodoo rituals. A person who creates dance movements is called a choreographer and is a highly artistic person.
