Importance of Teaching Art to the Young
The love for the arts can never be too early to be taught to young children. Art is not only a fun and recreational activity that is sure to provide a worthwhile preoccupation for the kids, but it is a great way to learn new things as well. With art, children learn in exciting and creative means the history of nations and peoples through paintings and drawings. They can also acquaint themselves with the evolution of pre-historical creatures through installations and sculptures, among others. In addition, art activities are also great means for children to express their opinions and views of the world and thus provide an opportunity for emotional growth. It is therefore the task of every parent to develop in their children the love for the arts so that the latter can utilise the values and principles they can derive from it as they grow older.
