Libraries
A library dedicated solely to the performing arts has documentation and reference as their reasons for being. The archival of circulating and reference materials provides great help in the preservation and perpetuation of many forms of performing arts before these are lost forever over time. An academic researcher or an aspiring artistic talent who wants to know more about a particular art can find materials in these libraries that greatly aid his work. A few libraries have very extensive listings or collections of a specific area or activity such as dance only or short plays only or comedy only. Such specialisation makes researching easier.
