Medical Humanities
In general, Humanities pertains to the overall insight of the human condition. With Medical Humanities, it covers the scope of the medical condition of the human being. In Wikipedia, Medical Humanities is fully defined as an interdisciplinary field of medicine that includes the aspect of humanities as exemplified in literature, philosophy, ethics, history and religion; social science which includes anthropology, cultural studies, psychology and sociology; and the arts which involves literature, theatre, film, and visual arts; and their application to medical education and practice. Despite the complexities of its definition, medical humanities focus on the literature and perspective of medical practice. Many skills are to be nurtured in this area of study to fully and effectively detail the right human medical condition especially when illness and sickness are present.
