Opera
An opera is a theatrical production in which the drama performance by actors is set to music. An opera therefore is a combination of the text known as libretto and the musical score. This art form originated in Italy. It has spread out to Europe and many parts of the world and has become a distinct art form that usually requires actors to have good singing voices. Opera is very similar to spoken theatre except with the addition of singing, music and in some instances, dancing. Operas have orchestra with them and with ballet, it becomes known as operatic ballet. Famous composers like Mozart favour opera compositions in their works.
