Revels
Performance artists can engage in revels to highlight their art. A revel is actually any unrestrained merrymaking that is particularly noisy or boisterous. Such activities are mainly considered as art itself since it is controlled and follows a certain pattern rather than an event that is totally out of control. Revels are merrymaking activities designed to convey a message by the artists in which the audience often gets the opportunity to participate. Revels were once intended solely for children to participate and enjoy the merrymaking. The British royal household previously had an office called the Master of the Revels whose main responsibility was to oversee that all royal festivities are conducted in an orderly manner.
