Sculpture
Michelangelo’s Pieta of 1499 and Jacques Lipchitz’s Birth of the Muses (1944-1950) are both works of sculpture. For the description, sculpture is a 3D artwork produced by mixing hard and plastic matters. Other materials and factors are audio, light, text, rock, marble, glass, metal and wood. Sculpture is the art of carving and assembling. To enhance the art and match the theme the sculptor wants to convey, sculptures are usually painted. Sculpting is regarded as a plastic art. A great number of public arts often fall under the sculpture category. Sculpture is already a subject for art students at present.
